How to Use Trigger Sprayers
Trigger sprayers are a popular option for many liquid product applications. They are commonly used in the chemical, household and industrial sectors. They are also used for a wide range of liquid products, including sanitising agents and soaps, hair gels and strong cleaning agents.
How to Use a Trigger Sprayer
The trigger sprayer is a type of pump that has several parts that work together to deliver the liquid in the bottle as a spray. Once pulled using a few fingers, the trigger lever activates a small pump that draws fluid from the reservoir in the bottle through a plastic tube and forces it down a narrow barrel and out of a spray valve.
How to Choose the Best Trigger Sprayer For Your Needs
There are a number of trigger sprayer options available, all with their own unique features and benefits. They can be found in a variety of shapes and colors, making it easy to find a model that fits your specific needs.
Standard Trigger Sprayers
General use trigger sprayers are a common choice for surface cleaners, hair gels, fabric fresheners and other products that require a simple, functional design. They are often paired with an adjustable nozzle to vary the spray.
Mist - Mist trigger sprayers still feature the traditional trigger mechanism but also have an adjustable nozzle to dispense a fine mist. They are ideal for products that may need more than a few sprays in one application and are more ergonomic than traditional trigger pumps.
Foam - Foaming trigger sprayers feature a unique design that dispenses a foam rather than a conventional spray pattern. They are commonly used for carpet and upholstery cleaners, but they can also be used for other applications that need to sit on a surface for an extended period of time.
Shipper - The shipper trigger sprayer is designed to be applied to the filled bottle before shipping it to prevent spilling or leaking. They are usually similar to general use trigger sprayers and excel at preventing spills that can cause product loss during transit.
How to Change the Sprayer Top
The trigger sprayer tops on most plastic bottles are made from BPA-free plastic and are easy to clean. They are a popular choice for many commercial products and can be easily trimmed or bent to fit the bottle's diameter as needed.
To change the trigger sprayer, simply cut the bottom of the tube on the top to about 1/16" above the inside bottom of the bottle for better control and ease of use. For best results, cut the tube at a 45deg angle.
It is important to review the different components of the trigger sprayer system to make sure that they are compatible with the liquids that you are selling. Depending on the needs of your product, you may want to select a component made from a different material than the rest of the bottle, such as stainless steel or glass.
